View Video Memory Display Memory Size on Linux Ubuntu from Command Line
You may need to see your video memory size on your linux computer. Here I will show you how to do it from command line. All you need to complete the mission is lspci command.
So, type this on terminal :
$ lspci
Then you will get something like this :
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Memory Controller Hub (rev 07)
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)

From that result, you need to find word "VGA", I give a red color for that word on above lspci command result. Take the string (00:02.0) on the left side.
Type on terminal :
$ lspci -v -s 00:02.0
And you will get a result like this :
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
Subsystem: Benq Corporation Device 0803
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 31
Memory at fd800000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M]
Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
I/O ports at cc00 [size=8]
Capabilities:
Kernel driver in use: i915
Kernel modules: i915
You can see from the result above that the video memory of the computer is 256 MB.
